When I was first moved to BT FTTC in April 2015, I knew I had an issue with a small number of tones and I was able to disable those tones using the following command:
adsl connection --tones 0-210,212-280,283-337,339-4096 --up
DSL was nice and stable, few errors, and was connected without any disconnects since, until a few days ago when power went off for 10 mins.
Since the tone selection does not survice a reboot I used the command again, but now it does not seem to be doing anything, the bad tones are still in use. As a result of this I am gettng a lot of letancy spikes which I suspect are due to GINP retransmittions, and the DLM has already changed interleave depth.
How do I get the --tones option to take effect?? I know you can get it to work, but I cannot remember the exact order of setting tones, bringing up DSL etc., and I am a bit cautious about trying various options because the DLM will seemany drops and apply even more interleave.
