Just for interest why has it been named "zcomax"
Any news on the LED for the fussy old fool (me)
TKS
The firmware is called Zcomax, because Zcomax is Billion UK (like PC range was Billion AU)

I noticed that too lol

Is it the internet LED your talking about by any chance?
I have a device up and testing now, with a EWAN >>> IPoE connection, to test the internet LED issue. (right now its on, but I will test over the week and see if I can replicate it)

Thanks for the file explanation now I can sleep ant night :)

I had an idea on the Internet LED (don’t often have them) but I think the Internet LED is proportional to the data from different sources e.g. if the 2.4gHz LED is doing it's nut and the Internet LED is less active if you download a file on one Ethernet port, also I switch on an internet radio plugged into another Ethernet port and download a large app on 5Ghz from Apple, just as I expected the internet LED speed up loosely totalling the amount of data from different sources so my finding is it’s very proportionate, in other words a good indication.

I just updated to this firmware a few days ago, however since updating the issue where the 5GHz network disappears after a few hours/days has returned.

I'd previously had issues with the 5GHz network disappearing from my devices on 2.52.d16, but the issue appeared to resolve with 2.52.d20.

I thought it might be the channel I'm using, but even set to the default 36 it still eventually drops out. So far the only fix is to reset the router. Is anyone else still having this issue?

I have been running this firmware I haven't experienced any issues with the 5ghz band.

Try to make sure the SSID is named different, and also once upgraded make sure you reset back to factory default settings, and manually reconfigure the device, do not restore settings from previous firmware builds.

Yep, both networks are named differently and I always do a factory reset on each upgrade. Still having the issue unfortunately. Did we ever figure out what caused it last time?

UK never released d20, you must of got from the AU site.

d24 seems fine with everyone else in the UK (see start of the thread) from the firmware I posted

Just for interest are they Apple devices or any 5gHz device, I had a long battle with 5gHz (disappearing 5gHz BUT not the signal just as far as the device was concerned)
but it was because of my passwords were made up of special characters after a lot of experiments raised it with technical and the problem was resolved and I no longer have the problem, BUT maybe you still are using a very special character which is still causing a problem avoid SPACE and @ ! ? may cause trouble.
Just a suggestion is I got it all wrong sorry I will go back to sleep.

No Apple devices. Usually after a reboot the 5GHz network will last for a day or so and then all the devices connected to the 5GHz drop at the same time (PC, Xbox One, Switch, Android phones). Once the 5GHz network drops it's all or nothing. No devices can connect to it until there's been a reboot.

The password doesn't contain any special characters, just uppercase/lowercase and numerals, but there is a space in the 5GHz network name. Maybe I'll try dropping that and see how I go.

I've been using firmware from the Australian site because I'm based in Melbourne, but I'm posting here because unfortunately the AU site doesn't have a help forum.

Can't really comment on AU firmware, our firmware is tweaked for the UK
