Fibre All of a Sudden not working! DHCP Client in Progress..

Post by bathingape »

Hi - I was using my internet last night and noticed that it stopped working all of a sudden.

My setup is a Billion Bipac 7800N and BT Modem. 7800N is on 1.06h and has been working fine from the first day of fibre activation since 1st of Jan.

After rebooting both devices I noticed that the 7800N says "DHCP Client in progress".

Logging into the BT Modem shows the connection as being up.

Any ideas here? :/

Have you tried connecting your PC to the open reach modem and see if you can dial in with PPPOE connection??

This test will verfiy if the open reach modem is having a issue of connecting to the internet ( it might show that it is syncing fine, but if it is unable to establish a internet connection is another matter, as we are taking the Billion router out of the equation it should help verify things)
