Does this cause the PPP session to close, and recconect, as that's what's been happenning to me for the last few weeks?
Yes, this would cause the PPP session to close, but that issue could be caused by anything.

I'll get our engineers to check the bit swapping function (I'm not in all next week so will follow up once I return)
Yes, and the other issue which also affects the downstream as well!
Attached is a test firmware, let me know how you get on (it has a new DMT code)
THIS IS A TEST FIRMWARE NOT FOR GENERAL USE

Apparently, there's been 4 DS ES & SES, which I assume is from the 32660 DS rtx_uc but there's been 0 DS CRC, so I don't know how that's possible.

This firmware is a test firmware with a different DMT, we still waiting for further feedback/ internal discussions before we officially implement this firmware, as it stands 2.52.d10 is the latest release, which can be found on our support website.

Seems to be mostly stable, atm. Sometimes DS rtx_ucs occur with no DS CRCs, but I assume that can happen? Or, should there always be CRCs with rtx_ucs?

I've taken the (small) risk and am running my new 8800AXL R2 with the test firmware and thus far, it seems to be performing perfectly.
