Service
providers are increasingly looking to Internet protocol television
(IPTV) as a key weapon in delivering valuable new video services,
including video on demand and digital broadcast TV. In response to this
growing demand, Billion has developed a series of products with
advanced software features to delivery high-quality video content over
the Broadband network. Software features including IGMP Proxy/Snooping
functions, a Quality of Service mechanism, VLAN and ADSL PVC LAN/WAN
network configurations. In addition, compliance with the ADSL2+
Amendment (2005.7) specification in the upcoming BiPAC 5200 R3 series
and BiPAC 7402 R3 series products will support higher INP enabling even
better quality of video delivery by minimizing effects of impulse
noise. To enable IPTV services via these new features, it is necessary
for CO DSLAMs to comply with the ADSL2+ Amendment (2005.7). Billion's
